The best events at Leeds Digital Festival to boost your marketing knowledge

Leeds Digital Festival 2023 is nearly here, and we’re excited! Since 2016, the festival has been consistently one of the most exciting periods in the Leeds calendar and an absolute must for anyone interested in tech, digital culture and more

However, the thing we’re most interested in is marketing. Digital marketing has evolved so much in the last year, and we’re so excited to hear from the experts presenting at Leeds Digital Festival to learn what awaits us in the future. Here are the events we’re most looking forward to this year:

The Content Batch Brunch

One of the most common things we hear from small business owners is that they just don’t know what kind of content to create for their social profiles. If that sounds familiar, the Content Batch brunch might be the event for you! Members of creative agencies Audience and Buttercrumble will be taking participants through the process of designing and crafting posts and reels for social media, providing prompts and ideation tips throughout

From supporting content to behind-the-scenes video, the workshop promises to help participants learn how to create engaging content for social media in a range of fun and engaging ways. We’re always looking to learn more about our industry, so we’ll be seeing if we can pick up any tips from this one!

TikTok Masterclass

As recently as 2020, I was telling people not to market themselves too hard on TikTok as it might be a trend. I’m very happy to admit I was wrong, as the app has doubled in users since then. There could be a billion people on the platform in the next few years, so marketers now need to use TikTok if they want to reach certain segments of their audience

As one of the newest social networks, TikTok can take some getting used to, which is why this workshop from Free Your Influence is extremely welcome! Participants will learn all about how both brands and creators can make the most of the platform for marketing success.

Communicating Your Use of AI

While AI has its controversies, there’s no denying it can be an extremely useful tool for many businesses. However, while we’re not clued up on the tech, we’re definitely interested in the marketing side of things. How can businesses communicate about their use of this complicated technology to their shareholders, employees and customers? That’s what this panel from the PHA Group is here to answer.

Companies that integrate AI into their business without communicating it run the risk of alienating customers and investors alike, so this is likely to be a key concern for many organisations. We’re looking forward to getting some tips from the panel of machine learning experts.

Of course, there are plenty of other incredible workshops, panels and more available at Leeds Digital Festival 2023; these are just our pick of the ones we find most interesting. If you don’t want to miss out on a wealth of tech knowledge, make sure you sign up for your share of events as soon as you can!
